Hi there! 👋 Welcome to Tinyspark — a mobile app that helps small businesses tell better stories and connect with fans in a fun, authentic way. we care about your privacy, and we wrote this policy in plain english so you actually understand what’s happening with your information.

if you use tinyspark (whether you’re a business or a fan), this policy applies to you.

 

 

1. who we are

2. the information we collect

✍️ when you sign up:

  • name
  • email address
  • password (encrypted so even we can’t see it)
  • business info (if you’re a brand)

📸 when you use the app:

  • stories and content you create or interact with
  • fan reactions, follows, and opt-ins
  • support chats and feedback

📱 from your device:

  • device type, OS, and version
  • IP address and general location (not precise unless you allow it)
  • app usage (what features you use, crash logs, etc.)

🧠 optional stuff (only if you let us):

  • contact syncing (to help connect fans and brands — you control this)
  • location data (for local business relevance, if enabled)

 

3. how we use your information

  • ✔️ personalize your experience
  • ✔️ show relevant updates from your favorite brands
  • ✔️ respond to support requests
  • ✔️ send occasional app tips or product updates (you can opt out anytime)
  • ✔️ keep tinyspark safe and secure

📬 if you opt in to marketing from a brand (what we call becoming a super fan), we may pass your name, email address, and any other info you’ve shared to that brand so they can stay in touch — through tinyspark or through other tools they use (like email or CRM platforms).

we do this only with your permission and to help you get the content you want from the brands you love.

we do not sell your information. ever.

 

4 working with Mailchimp & Klaviyo

tinyspark integrates with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Klaviyo to help brands reach you in more ways — but only if you opt in.

if you choose to follow a brand and give them permission to contact you outside of tinyspark:

  • your name and email may be added to the brand’s list in mailchimp or klaviyo
  • you may receive follow-up emails, offers, or newsletters
  • you can unsubscribe anytime (and we’ll make that easy)

we never share your information with these platforms directly — your info goes only to the brand you’ve chosen to follow, and only if they’ve connected their tinyspark account to one of these services.

 

5. when we share (and when we don’t)

we only share data when it’s necessary:

  • 👥 with brands you’ve opted into
  • 🔗 with integration services (like mailchimp, klaviyo, or CRM tools)
  • ⚖️ for legal reasons, or to protect the platform
  • 📊 in aggregated, anonymized ways that can’t identify you

we don’t sell or rent your personal info to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

 

6. your choices and controls

  • 🎛️ manage your settings in the app
  • 🔕 turn off notifications
  • 📬 unsubscribe from marketing emails
  • 🗑️ delete your account and data
  • 📥 request a copy of your data

7. content guidelines

to keep tinyspark safe and inspiring:

  • ⛔️ no hate speech
  • ⛔️ no nudity or explicit material
  • ⛔️ no violence or threats
  • ⛔️ no spam or phishing
  • ⛔️ no illegal or dangerous content

we reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

 

8. children’s privacy

tinyspark is not for kids under 13. if we find we’ve collected data from someone under 13, we’ll delete it.

 

9. how we keep your info safe

10. your privacy rights (california, eu, and beyond)

  • right to know what we collect
  • right to correct or delete info

tinyspark is based in the U.S. if you use the app from outside the U.S., you agree to your data being transferred here.

 

12. changes to this policy

if we make big updates, we’ll let you know in the app or by email. the effective date will always be at the top.
